On the 4th of July it was far too hot to do anything outdoorsy.
Which meant spending pretty much the entire day organizing two of my closets since the disorganization has really been bothering me. (I know. Sounds like a real celebratory 4th of July, right? Still, the truth of the matter is I actually enjoy that type of thing).
FYI, it's ALWAYS too hot to do anything outdoorsy for long. I have proof.

Yep, 108 heat index and this weekend the actual temps will be in the triple digits.
The only positive in all this is that when I water the flowers each night little Abby has a blast keeping me company. I see lots of sweet dragonflies and the hummers buzz above my head. Also, calories be damned, I treat myself to an ice cream cone afterwards.
When summer tries to boil you alive, eat ice cream.

I love the bunny at the end of the last video.
I'm pretty sure she has babies in our garden right now, but we haven't looked since we don't wish to disturb them. I just hope they'll be safe!

Round Top always has a big 4th of July parade. (I think it's the oldest parade in Texas). I've been searching for videos of it, but all I could find were these.
Those poor horses in that heat! (Right after the horses you'll see Junk Gypsies famous "Large Marge"" van. I hear that they're always in the parade).
Apart from the horses, the parade looks pretty boring to me.
I'm glad I stayed home, enjoying the comforts of the AC.

As for everyone else, I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my little (although rambling) blog. Be kind to yourself, and in true Disney fashion.... Have a Magical Day!
